Holly Aker is the Interim Director of the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) of New England, where she leads training, advising, and strategic outreach to support military veterans and their families in launching and growing successful businesses. Previously, she served as the organization’s Associate Director, playing a crucial role in program development and delivery across the region.

Before returning to VBOC, Holly worked in Outreach and Marketing at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Vermont District Office. In this role, she supported statewide initiatives and collaborated with SBA resource partners to expand access to entrepreneurship training and small business resources. Holly has developed and delivered business planning programs across various industries and continues to consult on strategic growth planning, business development, and grant writing for organizations nationwide.

In addition to her public sector work, Holly is the founder of Local Goods Gathered and owns a consulting firm focused on economic development and small business growth. She is deeply committed to helping entrepreneurs build sustainable, resilient businesses that serve their communities.
